File-level antivirus software in Exchange Server 2007
I ran get-transportagent and did not see anything I could determine as antivirus. What I did find:Connection filtering agent = trueContent filter agent = trueSender Id Agent = trueSender Filter Agent = trueRecipeint Filter Agent = trueProtocal Analysis Agent = trueFSE Routering Agent = trueTransport Rule Agent = trueJournaling Agent = trueAD RMS Prelicensing Agent = falseAm I correct we do not have configured file-level antivirus software? Thanks

You can not determine File-level antivirus scanning through Get-TransportAgent.File-Level antivirus is the normal antivirus, which scans your server for local hard drive, shared network drive and gives you real-time protection from operating system scanning but NOT Exchange database. It is NOT Exchange aware so you shouldn't see that in Exchange cmdlet Get-TransportAgent.You need to see in Add/Remove program to verify that it is installed or not and if you can see any antivirus program, open the that antivirusapplication and verify that Exchange files are excluded from the scanning.References:File-Level Antivirus Scanning on Exchange 2007http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb332342.aspxConfiguring file-level antivirus software in Exchange Server 2007http://www.msexchange.org/articles_tutorials/exchange-server-2007/security-message-hygiene/configuring-file-level-antivirus-software.htmlAmit Tank | MVP - Exchange | MCITP:EMA MCSA:M | http://ExchangeShare.WordPress.com
