External users using internal OAB URL

Hello.

We are recently migrated from Exchange 2010 to 2013 CU8. All roles are installed on one server.
Most of our users connecting to Exchange from external networks with Outlook 2013 and they get this autodiscover.xml (see http://pastebin.com/LWaDYDUy).

Here virtual directory config:

get-AutodiscoverVirtualDirectory | fl identity,internalurl, externalurl
Identity : EXCH02\Autodiscover (Default Web Site)
InternalUrl :
ExternalUrl :

get-ClientAccessServer | fl identity,AutodiscoverServiceInternalUri
Identity : EXCH02
AutoDiscoverServiceInternalUri : https://exch02.company.local/autodiscover/autodiscover.xml

get-webservicesvirtualdirectory | fl identity,internalurl,externalurl
Identity : EXCH02\EWS (Default Web Site)
InternalUrl : https://exch02.company.local/EWS/Exchange.asmx
ExternalUrl : https://mail.company.com/EWS/Exchange.asmx

get-oabvirtualdirectory | fl identity,internalurl,externalurl
Identity : EXCH02\OAB (Default Web Site)
InternalUrl : https://exch02.company.local/OaB
ExternalUrl : https://mail.company.com/OAB

get-owavirtualdirectory | fl identity,internalurl,externalurl
Identity : EXCH02\owa (Default Web Site)
InternalUrl : https://exch02.company.local/owa
ExternalUrl : https://mail.company.com/owa

get-ecpvirtualdirectory | fl identity,internalurl,externalurl
Identity : EXCH02\ecp (Default Web Site)
InternalUrl : https://exch02.company.local/ecp
ExternalUrl : https://mail.company.com/ecp

get-ActiveSyncVirtualDirectory | fl identity,internalurl,externalurl
Identity : EXCH02\Microsoft-Server-ActiveSync (Default Web Site)
InternalUrl : https://exch02.company.local/Microsoft-Server-ActiveSync
ExternalUrl : https://mail.company.com/Microsoft-Server-ActiveSync

We are using certificate from domain CA with SAN:

DNS name=mail.company.com
DNS name=exch02.company.local
DNS name=autodiscover.company.com
DBS name=company.com

All working fine except one thing: Outlook 2013 from external network trying to download OAB from internal url. Here is output from "bitsadmin /list /verbose":

After a hour BITS will cancel this job and download OAB from external URL without any problem. But if i restart Outlook - it will again use internal URL.

Any ideas?

Hi kimurin,

Thank you for your question.

Did this issue occur all external users?

We could close outlook and navigate to C:\Users\user\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Outlook\Offline Address Book, then delete all sub-files on offline address book and restart the outlook to check if the issue persist.

If there are any questions regarding this issue, please be free to let me know.

Best Regard,

Jim
