External Mail Problem
Hi All We are running a 2003 server with exchange 2003 and office 2003 clients. We have some 20 users all working fine except 1 user which does not receive any external emails. All internal mail is delivered ok but not external. Can anyone suggest where I could look. Thanks Glenn

Are the external users getting any NDRs? Anything stuck in the Queues? Does the user have a valid email address for the external domain in his user profile? Any external SPAM service that needs to be set up (some block by default)?Tim Harrington - Catapult Systems - http://HowDoUC.blogspot.com

Please try sending a mail from any external user ( if delivery options if possible ) . THis will provide insight to the issue. You can also track the mail in message tracking logs if someone is sending the mail to this particular user , whether it is accepted by exchange server or some thing is blocking before exchange server.

Have you checked the one problem users SMTP email address, is it formatted correctly i.e. no finger fumbles in the format? Have them send an external email to an outside account you have access and then look at the return address, is it proper? Troy Werelius www.Lucid8.com
