Export mailbox and import ot another user
Hello, need to change the mailbox user account from one user to another one, is there a easy good way Server Exchange 2010

Not something I usually recommend. I don't like the idea of someone being inflicted with all of the junk from another user. My preference is to simply give the new user full access to the old mailbox through Outlook. They can then use whatever they need from the old mailbox. If this is an account replacement, then export to PST file and import it again, either via import-mailbox or through Outlook. Simon.Simon Butler, Exchange MVP Blog | Exchange Resources

Yes it is an account replacement so can I Export all e-mail from Outlook and then just import in the new account. Will it work like this.

You could pull it out through Outlook, although it would be very slow. Export-Mailbox is quicker. Simon.Simon Butler, Exchange MVP Blog | Exchange Resources

I have found a different solution an it works Disable the mailbox Then run Clean-MailboxDatabase -Identity "Mailbox Database number" then after some time the mailbox shows up as disconnected mailbox and then can be bound to the new user. IS there something wrong with this method as it works. Thanks

There's nothing wrong with doing that. Just keep in mind that the mailbox folders may not have the permissions you expect and that the mailbox server-side rules will continue to run (including any delegate rules). --- Rich Matheisen MCSE+I, Exchange MVP --- Rich Matheisen MCSE+I, Exchange MVP

The *names* may be the same but the SID is different. --- Rich Matheisen MCSE+I, Exchange MVP --- Rich Matheisen MCSE+I, Exchange MVP
