Hi, Not sure what you mean by edb file becomes inaccessible? If the file is really gone you can't export the database to Outlook. If the file is corrupt you can either try to repair it and mount the database again or if that fails buy a 3-party tool that might be able to export some of the mails to a pst file Leif

Tell us more about your situation, i.e. how long ago the Exchange Database became inaccessible, what took place, what you have done since that time etc so that we can give you a better answer. That said couple of things; 1. if your users are in cached mode they will be able to see all their historical data and therefore you may want to have each user export their items to PST 2. before you take any action against a corrupt EDB, ensure you make a MASTER copy of it so that you are not working with the only copy of the database 3. Have you attempted to recover from your latest Exchange database backup. 4. We make one of the top 3rd party products in terms of accuracy and completeness for data extraction from offline EDB files and BTW beware of the very low cost products in this category there is a reason for their pricing, i.e. pay very close to the data post extraction. All of that said you may not need such a tool depending upon your situation so tell us more to see if we can help without having to go the 3rd party route.
