Hello,

I need to expand the virtual volume of the Exchange 2013 server.  This volume, just contains the exchange install, as well as all the DB's logs for Exchange.  This is in a VMware esxi 5.1 environment, and the Server OS is Windows 2012 standard.

I know how to expand the volume, and add it to the server.  Really can I do this live with exchange running, or do I shutdown the exchange services.  What is the safest way?!

I try sometimes extend disk under exchange db but no error.
if you think make a full backup from db and extend disk.

You can extend it, it's not going to cause any issue.
