Hi Amit,Please find below URL for having good understanding of exmerge utility. are you using e2k7 or e2k3, If your mailbox server is E2k7 then you can get Exmerge utility in the toolbox itself in EMC when configure "Database recovery manager".This is a very handy toll if you need to export import single mailbox or some set of mailbox, You can also restore single user mailbox from backup using RSG and exmerge utility without disturbing your production database.http://msexchangeteam.com/archive/2004/07/01/171051.aspxhttp://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/556045http://support.microsoft.com/kb/292509Please let me know if you need any more help.Anil

Amit,Exmerge is a very handy tool in E2K3.First of all, we need to have appropriate permissions set to export a mailbox using exmerge. I would create a special account - Exmerge and put it into a global security group and grand permissions as per :Grant Full Mailbox Rights to an Administrator on Exchange 2000/2003: http://www.petri.co.il/grant_full_mailbox_rights_on_exchange_2000_2003.htm Now, as soon as this is done, you can use exmerge for:1. Taking PST of all or individual mailboxes in the orgn.2. Take brick level back up of mailboxes.3. Take PST out of a Recovery Storage Group.4. Import the PST's back to a user mailbox from the server side. You might wanna have a look at:Troubleshooting ExMerge Issues : http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb124178.aspx Exmerge is being replaced by Export Mailbox in E2K7.Find link for more details : http://www.simple-talk.com/exchange/exchange-articles/goodbye-exchange-exmerge,-hello-export-mailbox/ Please let me know of you have any questions.
