Exhange keeping some emails?
Hey Guys, I know a little about exchange and have been put in charge of our server, but now there's a problem: The setup: -emails are pulled down from 1and1 mailboxes (i.e. firstname.lastname@example.org) -we use the pop3 connector to pull the emails down -the emails are then distributed to the exchange mailboxes (i.e. leigh) -we use outlook 2007 to connect to exchange to get the emails However we noticed a few emails weren't coming through, so I went through the "email and internet connection wizard" but now exchange pulls down the emails from 1and1 (as they disappear from webmail) but only 30-50% end up in our mailboxes. I can't find the rest, where could they be going? Thanks, Leigh

Hi,From the post,it looks like a Small Business Server.First please ensure that all the emails have been recievedon ISP mailbox. Then please try to use MFCMapi.exe to check if these emails have been recievedon Exchange Server. If we can find email on ISP mailbox but cannot find on Exchange Server, then I think you may need to check pop3 connector related logs.If we can find emails on Exchange Server, then I think it could be a client related issue. Please try to verify if the issue occur to all the users.Besides, we have Newsgroup especailly for SBS,I recommend you to post the issue there if it is a SBS related issue.https://connect.microsoft.com/sbs08/community/discussion/richui/default.aspx?wa=wsignin1.0http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sbs/bb839595.aspxMore information to share with you:How to troubleshoot the POP3 Connector in Windows Small Business Server 2003http://support.microsoft.com/kb/885685Regards,Xiu
