This error seems to be different to your issue. This suggests to me that your test server hasn't been setup properly. 1. If you've got firewall installed on the test servers, disable it. 2. If you've got an AV installed, disable it. 3. Verify Remote Management service is started. 4. If you run winrm quickconfig from the shell what happens? Sukh

I did not have WinRM service enabled but today i enabled it 4- after that i run command in PS [PS] C:\Windows\system32>Get-PSSessionConfiguration Name PSVersion StartupScript Permission ---- --------- ------------- ---------- microsoft.powershell 2.0 BUILTIN\Administrators AccessAll... Microsoft.PowerShell32 2.0 microsoft.ServerManager 2.0 BUILTIN\Administrators AccessAll... [PS] C:\Windows\system32>winrm quickconfig WinRM already is set up to receive requests on this machine. WinRM already is set up for remote management on this machine. [PS] C:\Windows\system32> 1- on all servers is windows firewall enabled 2- Trend micro antivirus security is indstalled on all servers 3- Windows remote menagment service is runing automaticaly delayed start After enabling winRM service i did not try to move database beacouse users are still at work. I tried to connect from my other server via server manager but it gives me error ServerManager cannot connect to Excserver.mucicco.local. Click retry to connect again Connecting to remote server failed with the folowing error: the Winrm client cannot complete the operation within the time specified. Check if the machine name is valid and reachable over network and firewall exception for winRM services is enabled. for more information see the remote troubleshooting help. I enabled winRM folowing these steps on http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd759202.aspx#BKMK_gp Thx

Hi this morning i have tried this: I made on my production server new database and mounted it, (this is the same server on which it gives me winrm errors). i tried to move database path and it worked but on my other databse Mailbox Database 1881497334.edb it wont work. I am now so confused, if it works on one database why it wont work on another, thi si all with AV an Firewall enabled.?????

What do you think about migrating users fom one database to another using Local Move Request function will this help me move all mailboxes from one database to another so i can delete Mailbox Database 1881497334.edb, i have tried with one test mailbox and it worked, i just now have to test it by dismouting Mailbox Database 1881497334.edb, and trying to connect to test mailbox so i can see can i connect.

If you can't get the databse renamed. Then you can create another DB as you say and move the users across from the Mailbox Database 1881497334.edb to the new one which you have created. Then you can delete the Mailbox Database 1881497334.edb. When you are moving the users across , make sure you have enough disk space for your transactions logs as this will increase. To clear them down, do a full backup. Sukh

When your move your mailboxes it will generate logs (transactions logs) as it's moving the mailbox from one database to another (your old database 1881497334.edb to your new database mdb1.edb). As part of this move, transaction logs will be generated. so make sure you have enought space on your drive for transactions logs. For example, if your transactions logs are on e:\ for the new database mdb1.edb, then make sure there is enough space on this driver to cater for the transactions logs which will be generated. What you can do is a full backup. Sukh
