Hi, Sorry for this (probably) trivial question but I have really a little network knowledge. What's the link between Exchange, STMP and POP ? SMTP is a protocol to send emails, POP to receive them. Does Exchange uses these technogies ? If no what does it use ? Thanks

It depend on which connection protocol to use. Exchange server can support MAPI, SMTP, POP3, IMAP4,& http etc..... to send & receive mail
