Exchange service restarts
Hi
Today, we had to restart the System Attendant service on Exchange 2007 Mailbox servers to fix an issue. Which brings the question, apart from the Information Store, are there any MS Exchange services on a 2007 box (mailbox, Hub, CAS) that would bring about
an outage to users if I restarted the service? Sys Attendant didn't seem to cause a problem.

Microsoft Exchange Transport Log Search - restarting it should cause your users to notice that
Microsoft Exchange Monitoring - restarting it should cause your users to notice that
Microsoft Exchange IMAP4 - if you are not using IMAP of course
Microsoft Exchange POP3 - if you re not using POP3
Microsoft Exchange Anti-spam Update - you can safely restart also that
Microsoft Exchange Search Indexer - safe to restart
With kind regards
