Exchange service level monitoring

Hi im a beginner and working as a tech suppport in a big organization to monitor the exchange server, one colleague has created an alarm system using CA spectrum which detects any errors, high cpu utilization etc so he asked me what type of services to be monitored in that alarm system , so i dont know that what are the important services in CAS server which should be monitored for smooth function of EXCHANGE 2013 in our office, when we go to services.msc what are the important services to watch out for ???

please anybody help me out with this problem i will be glad to have a support from you guyzz

Run the Test-ServiceHealth, that will list you all the services required for each role and their status.

Also keep in mind that, Managed Availability can restart service depending on the server health. You can also take a look at Server Component states and Server Health in E2013

In addiction, we can use the below command to get exchange environment report:

Get-ExchangeEnvironmentReport -HTMLReport c:\report.html

Thanks for the reply AMT and DAVID I just need the services in services.msc which are very important in CAS server of Exchange 2013 a collegue in our office wants those service names he will add those services into his alert system, so just tell me what are the important services in CAS server

Test-ServiceHealth will give you the list of required services for CAS role...
