Dear All! Probably my questions is very silly but I'm no Exchange expert. We have a small office, we recently installed the network and the environment. The server is an SBS2008 running on a Fujitsu Siemens TX100 S1. The admin installed the Exchange server on it and it was working fine. The Exchange was using a pop3 connector (?) to grab our mails and distribute it in the office. Everything was running fine until last Wednesday, there was an auto update but we didn't install it and I'm not even sure if there is any connection but ever since then the Exchange server is not reachable. I've restarted the F-S several times but didn't help. The admin who did this for us is also unreachable and this is a small town, not many exchange admins are running back & forth. I have absolutely no idea what to do, I think this should be an easy solution, maybe restart the service, but as I'm not a techie neither in SBS or in Exchange I don't want to mess with it. Thanks for the reply. I don't know where to look for event logs. Meanwhile I approved some updates on the server, like Update Rollup 9 of Exchange 2007 sp1 and some others but it's taking ages to run...

Also, make sure you have disabled checksum offloading on the network cards: To disable checksum offloading: 1. Open regedit and navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Tcpip\Parameters. 2. Add a new DWORD value named DisableTaskOffload and set it to 1. 3. Hi, Can u check Exchange Services are running on the Exchange server. u can check it by going to Start->Run- and type services.msc then see the services specially "Microsoft Exchange Information Store" , "Microsoft Exchange System Attendant", "Microsoft Exchange Service Host" , and " Remote Procedure Call (RPC)" and make sure they are running. Also open Exchange Management Shell and run following commands and put the result here: get-mailboxServer | get-mailboxDatabase -Status |FL Id*,Mounted It will tell whether the mailbox database is mounted or not. Okay, I did check on the services, all the Exchange related services were DISABLED so i changed their status to AUTOMATIC and started all of them one by one. 2 failed to start: Microsoft Exchange Information Store I can set it to automatic but when I try to run, it won't. Hi, Now its confirmed that u have prolem with Information Store service. Can you see some error messages in Windows Event Viewer. First try to run the Info store service and then You can open Event Viewer by going to Start->Run and then typing "EventVwr". Then goto "Windows Logs->System" and see if there are any error messages and post here. The error which u r getting is a DCOM component permission issue. Some application is trying to run "IIS WAMREG admin Service" component with Network service credentials, while Network service account doesnt have permission to run this component. You can assign permission to Network service account using this article Resolving DCOM 10016 Errors You will have to goto "Start->Administrative Tools->Component services->Computer->My Computer->DCOM Config".
