Exchange server stopped working
Hi, I run into some problems with IIS7 sow I reinstalled IIS7 and now my exchange server isn't working any more. My server looks like this: Windows 2008 server R2, Exchange server 2010. When I start the exchange management console it says: The following error occurred when searching for on-premises exchange server connect to remote server failed with error message: the winrm client sent a request to an http server and got a response saying the requested http url was not available. This is usually returned by http server that does not support the ws-management protocol. for more information, see the about_remote_troublshooting Help topic. It was running the command "discover-exchangeserver -uaswia $treu -suppresserror $treu". Also I can't start the power shell of exchange, same error. I've already reinstalled winRM IIS Extension but that didn't work. Does anyone know how to solve this isseu? Tanks in advance. Cheers

Hi, See if you can get the powershell vdir up and running: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ff607221(EXCHG.80).aspx And from the you might need to use this: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ff629372.aspx Leif

Thx for the quick response. If I look in the IIS manager everyting is gone, sow there is no e.g. powershell OWA BOA I think the best solution is a state recovery. Or are there other options available? Sturme

Hi, I don't know if the setup /m:recoverserver will work. http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd876880.aspx You could try that (but be sure to backup the databases before you start. If that doesn't work you might need to restore the server. Leif
