You need to provide more information about your configuration. What version of EX are you using? Do you have more than one Ex server? Why did you rebuild the Exchange server? Any issues? If you are sending mails from EX server to a relay or SMTP server, make sure you have a connector and relay is allowing your EX IP address. My esystem is windows 2008 R2. I saw one post. Exchange 2007 located in windows 2008 R2 could not send the mail. This is bug, isn't it?

Our Exchange is 2007. It is built on Windows 2008 R2. Because of Blue screen for the system, i rebuilt the system. I send the mail to the smart host.

Hallo, If you are trying with Exchange 2007 on Win server 2008, that will not work. you need Exchange server 2010. About mail send and receive, you have to check your Domain Controller and GlobalCatalog settings as well your exchange server settings. check your MX like this : nslookup -querytype=my yourdomain.com this will give you the same mail in and out .
