Hi,

1GB mem is way to low,4GB shouldnt be an issue.

2GB installation should be ok,but during boot some services wont start and you will have to start them manually.

So min recomended without any issues is 4gb.

It looks like it's saying it can't find a domain controller for the domain you're installing it into. Is this going to be a single server test environment? If so, did you create the forest and domain, and promote the server to a domain controller?

I don't think 1GB for the VM is going to be anywhere near enough :-)  I've seen it done in 2GB, and even then it struggles to start up properly.

Hi Lee,

Yes this is a test environment and I have already created forest and domain and promoted the server.

Hi

1) I agree that 1GB of RAM is really low, but it is not the main issue

2) Is Windows server domain joined? Are you logged on the server as Domain admin with Schema admin permissions? Based on log you are logged in as "WIN-4D2C2JMF5R1\Administrator", which looks like a local admin, not a domain account.

April 14th, 2015 8:25am

Hi,

Thanks for reply yes windows server domain joined and the administrator has full rights and it is the member of Enterprise admin and schema admin.

Can you run a health check on your Domain Controller?

Exchange 2013 uses management role groups and management role assignment policies to manage permissions.
Role groups enable you to grant permissions to groups of administrators and specialist end users. These are people who m
anage your organization or perform special tasks, like mailbox searches for compliance reasons.
Role assignment policies enable you to grant permissions to your end users. These permissions include whether users can
manage their own distribution groups, edit their own profile information, access voice mail, and more.

Dear Experts,

Great news Finally Exchange 2013 successfully installed on VM. Now I am able to open EMS and Exchange admin center.  As suggested by "OFF2work"  above I increased memory of  VM   1 GB to 2 GB and I found performance of the VM increased. I also found using NSLOOKUP command that DNS  has not configured properly. I configured DNS  properly and then installed exchange 2013 again and this time success.

Thanks for all of your support.
