Exchange server 2007 fail after move forest member active directory from default-first-site-name to new site name.
I've got an existing active directory domain with a domain controller that is Server 2003 and exchange server 2007 which is working normally. Right now, I need to install new domain controller in branches. So I create a new sites and also subnets and I move domain controller server from default-first-site-name to a new site I have created. All the member computers working normally after I move the domain controller server to new site but exchange server 2007 become failed.I move back the server to default-first-site-name and the exchange server 2007 is working normally. Please tell me how to solve this exchange server 2007 problem, if I need to move my first domain controller server from default-first-site-name to new site, rename the site, etc. For future, I also need to create more than one global catalog server.Thank you.G. Hi,I recommend you to prompt a new DC in the new website. Do not move the existing DC to the new website. When we install Exchange, it select the DC to extend the AD schema, add a lot of Exchange related information to AD. Since this is the first one, it should be a GC. How to Prepare Active Directory and Domainshttp://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb125224.aspxBesides, please find event 2080 from event view and then check the DCs that discovered by Exchange Server .Event ID 2080 from MSExchangeDSAccesshttp://support.microsoft.com/kb/316300http://www.microsoft.com/technet/support/ee/transform.aspx?ProdName=Exchange&ProdVer=8.0&EvtID=2080&EvtSrc=MSExchangeADAccess&LCID=1033Regards,Xiu
