Exchange server 2000 crashed
I have a old 2000 server with exchange server 2000. The exchange server was crashed. Users' outlook can't open. I stopped the exchange server now because event logs was full very quick by all errors. Someone told me to mount store for mailbox, but failed to mount and I also could not back up the database. Is it database or logs files were damaged or corrupted. I saw the following error messages from the event view: MSExchangeSAError: 9175 "The MAPI call 'OpenMsgStore' failed with the following error: The Microsoft Exchange Server computer is not available. Either there are network problems or the Microsoft Exchange Server computer is down for maintenance. The MAPI provider failed.Microsoft Exchange Server Information StoreID no: 8004011d-0526-00000000 For more information, click http://www.microsoft.com/contentred... " MSExchangeFBPublishError: 8197 "Error initializing session for virtual machine. The error number is 0x8004011d. Make sure Microsoft Exchange Store is running. For more information, click http://www.microsoft.com/contentred... " Please help me to fix this major problem and users need to use outlook daily. Thank you very much.

I'm experiencing the same issue with my IS, but only after applying the Exchange DST Hotfix.

You will have to purchase that through Microsoft's extended hotfix support. I wish you luck, right now I had to rollback the hotfix because the store would not mount.
