I would recreate the user's Outlook profile ( At the minimum delete the .ost associated with the account if the client is in cache mode) Can they access their mailbox via OWA?

no, its definitely on the exchange server. OWA, iphone and email is only not working, there appears to be a queuing issues with about 5% of the total users, emails are in retry status on the server.

What errors are you getting in the queue? are the mails being sent after retrying? I would agree with Andy to recreate the user profile in Outlook just to be sure. /MartinExchange is a passion not just a collaboration software.

How did you restore Exchange? What steps?

Since this is happening for only one user then it might be possible their is corruption in the mailbox. First try this steps to rename the SMTP queue ,Stop the SMTP service and then Remane the mailroot folder. Then restart the SMTP and then do the test for one user & check the Event ID in application log. If you are getting Event Id 327 then this is pointing to Database Corruption To resolve database corruption issue Run isinteg command 3 time on the database and If any third party is installed on the server thern uninstalled it for troubleshooting. Command for ISINTEG X:\Program Files\exchsrvr\BIN>isinteg -s (ServerName) -fix -test alltests It will fix the issue Hope this helps.Viral R

we found out that there are some other users that are having the same issues, its about 5-6 out of 150. There are no errors in the log, we had microsoft work through the restore. We restored from backupexec, then we repaired and defraged the damaged db. Then we merged the mailboxes. All seems to be fine except these few users with messages that state retry in the status. Viral, thanks for the suggestion, do we have to take down the exchange server to run those commands?Raff

If you did a restore, why the need to repair the database with eseutil? I assume you ran eseutil /p? If so, then you absolutely have to run isinteg afterwards, and yes the store will have to be dismounted. Better yet, can you create a new store and move mailboxes to it? I wouldnt run a repaired database in production.

Hi Everyone, we backed up the mailboxes, deleted them, re-created them and email started flowing, there was about 170 emails stuck in the queue which microsoft worked on with my tech to retrieve, i have to touch base and find out what they did, thanks, RaffRaff
