Exchange on two sites
Greetings,I have readed the following: http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/exchangesvrdeploy/thread/f8bb5942-c4a1-4969-8a62-044f402d8a48/ but this is for Exchange 2003.The scenario is the following:Initially Exchange 2007 was installed on one site. All is working OK (OWA, Outlook Anywhere). (DCs are based on W2008 x64)Now there is the requirement that Exchange must be installed on a branch office (50 users aprox.)I have installed the DC for that new site (the site's DC is GC. subnet, site and sitelink were created and configured) All are OK and the replication between DCs is OK.The Internet access is in the main office. Corporate Anti-spam and antivirus is in the main office.I need help in the following:¿I need to install OWA in the branch office's Exchange server? ¿I need to instal Outlook Anywhere branch's office Exchange server? ¿what about policies that limit the size of the attachments?¿what more I need to install/configure for the branch office users can have email service? The public domain must be the same for all usersYour help will be very appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Hi,For your questions, number 1: To work with OWA for the two AD sites, you can configure the Exchange 2007 for proxying or redirection. The detailed information is as below:http://msexchangeteam.com/archive/2007/09/10/446957.aspxNumber 2: Before configuring Outlook Anywhere for the two AD sites, we need to understand that the mechanism of how Outlook Anywhere working. When the request is sent to the CAS, the CAS queries the AD to determine the location of the user's mailbox. When finding the mailbox server of the user, the request will be sent to the Mailbox Server of the remote AD site which listed under Validports regkey.http://msexchangeteam.com/archive/2008/06/20/449053.aspx Thus, you just need to configure the external name of the Outlook Anywhere for branch office is same as the main office.Number 3: For the limit the size of the attachment, there have several methods to do that. You can select the size effect of Organization setting or individual settings.http://exchangepedia.com/blog/2007/09/exchange-server-2007-setting-message-size.htmlThanksAllen
