Exchange on SBS 2003 and ActiveSync to an Android phone
Hello everybody, at a customer's site, there is an SBS 2003 running. It is not configured by us, but we got the job to get an Android phone get mail/calendar/contacts via Activesync. Host name, certificate for it, DNS entry, and https traffic to the SBS box work fine. Also and noteworthy, the Exchange online-test says that Activesync works fine (only that the certificate is self-signed by the SBS CA). However, the phone continues to say that it cannot connect to the server (we don't get the certificate even offered for installation). Also, we noticed that Exchange seems to be on service pack 1 level, and SP2 doesn't get offered via Microsoft Update. So the questions are: Can we just install the current Exchange 2003 SP onto an SBS 2003 box? What could be the cause for the phone failing despite the fact that the online checker says "OK"? Thanks for any tipps.Best Regards, Stefan Falk
