Exchange on SBS, SMPT Connector problems
Hi, I am running Exchange 2003 on SBS 2003 and have had a few emails that are being sent to either adelphia.net / roadrunner.com / or yahoo.com that get stuck in the queues. Each time it says the status is retry and the additional information says that the connection was dropped by the remote host. Has anyone else seen this and if so what can I do to fix this issue. I had something similar. Mine was due to the account sending the emails had an incorrect SMTP email address which I changed in ADUC. Another thing you could try is to enable logging of errors by MSExchange Transport, this can be done by going into your exchange server properties and clicking diagnostic logging tab and then select MSExchange Transport and then click on SMTP protocol on right hand side and select medium. Click Apply/ok.Now the errors relating to this will appear in the event viewer which will be a little more descriptive and should help find the culprit.Sarwar1
