Exchange internal mail hangs for one user.
Hello, Before I kick off with our problem, here is some information about the hardware and software: Server 2003 with ISA Server 2004 and Exchange 2003. All installed om a ML350 G3. Last weekend our powersuply gave up. Server went down. I have full backups made with Acronis Server 9.7 Universal Restore. I restored the backup on a ML350G4. After some changes to the network settings and a manual start of the default SMTP server all seems well. The users could mail external. There is only one problem, there was no mail recevied by the clients. The same time I didnt get a NDR so the mail was recieved by the exchange server. After some search and some trying, I figured out that the local ost file had to be removed. The clients recieved the mail and everything worked. After 24 hour only 1 client had the same problems as before. The last mail she recevied was from 6 hour ago. The outlook client tels me its connected. The mail is not visible in OWA. After looking in the queue I noticed the messages where there, only could not be deliverd to the local client. There are no warnings or errors in the Eventviewer, and I get no NDR when I mail to the user. Mail from internal to here mailbox wont work either. Removing the local ost file doenst work. I came across this KB of microsoft http://support.microsoft.com/kb/828938 which discriped kind of the simmilar problem. Only it didnt work. When i dismount and then remount the information store, the following event error messages do not accour in the event viewer. Annybody with some ideas?

Hi Allen, After some trying I found out that the mailbox from the user was corrupt. I moved the mailbox to a temp user, so we can export the mail. Gave the user with problems a new mailbox and imported the data. After creating a new outlook profile the mail could be deliverd without any problems. Thanks for helping. MIEGroup.
