Exchange installing service packs
I have downloaded service pack 2 for exchange to our Exchange Server but I can't figure out how to make it run.I redownloaded it and clicked run but even that didn't start the installation. The Winzip program comes up and I have unzipped the files but I can't figure out how to install the service pack. Sorry if this is a basic question, your help is appreciated. FYI- I am trying to install this because of the daylight savings/time zone errors the users encountered this morning. Thanks,

Ok, if you have unzipped the file then look for update.exe, I cant remember the exact location but its something like {upzip location}\setup\i386\ Try running that. Note that on some servers it may take an untold amount of time for the install to start (display on screen) If you still can get it to run then you can try rebooting the server into safemode and running from there (just to test, dont apply the SP from safe mode) if it runs in safe mode then you most likely have some form of malware running on the server which is prohibiting your sp from starting. Open task manager and start killing off processes which are not critical to the functioning of your server. Also check the Run keys on the registry of the server and remove any arb entries. (backup your registry first)
