i had a problem and my exchange server was crashed and started a new installation. when i begin installation i get the message that exchange server in inconsistent mode and setup fail and only recovery mode availble.

Hi, If the new server has the same name as the original exchange server use the exchange setup /disasterrecovery switch. Leif

thnx alot leif. if i installed exchnge to a domain controller and after i finish installation i add a new additional domain controller and i moved roles of GC and operation master to the new additional DCwill it damage the current installation?

Hi, It will not damage the exchange installation to move the FSMO roles, but it is not supported to run dcpromo on an exchange server. Leif

yes i won't run dcpromo to exchange i will run it in a new server beside the old domain controller because the domain controller i work on isn't the primary domain i will have in the end so i will transfer FMSO roles someday to the original server. do u know which roles of FMSO should be applied to PDC and which roles should be moved to the Secondary DC?
