Exchange giving my virus checking system an error

I have a brand new exchange 2013 sp1 server setup. I also have a sophos utm 9 firewall, I want it to be doing all of my virus checking and spam checking since we have paid for it already. Now it gets the emails sent to my domain just fine it checks them and then tries to forward them, getting this error

Remote host g2-exch01.g2p-llc.com [10.32.0.60] closed connection in response to sending data block

So far sophos has no clue, if i turn off the virus checking my exchange works great sending and receiving, but when i turn the checking on i can only send.

Any one have ideas?

I have the standard receive connectors, and a send connector i created to route mail out through my firewall.

please provide the output of

get-receiveconnector | fl

for that g2-ech01 ; I'd like to know more about  your configuration for your internet receive connector.
