Exchange email address has stopped working after AD name change
Hi, Changing display name can't cause such error, kindly confirm if the user are getting the same error message when they are replying through OWA, if yes they it purely a outlook client related issue.Ripu Daman Mina | MCSE 2003 & MCSA Messaging

Hi James, this could possibly be to do with Outlook's NK2 file. The NK2 file stores a copy of e-mail addresses that you have sent messages to, and provides the auto complete functionality you see when you start typing a recipients name when creating a new message. There are two things I would recommend trying to rule this out: 1. From a user workstation, create a new mail message. Click the "To" button and select Julies name from the global address list, then try to send the message. 2. Create a new test user account in Active Directory. Log the user into a workstation and configure Outlook. Attempt to send a test e-mail to Julie. Kind Regards.

Hi Ripu and Barry Yesterday Julie was unable to receive email from both external and internal addresses. This did not matter whether the address was typed manually, selected from the autocomplete list or selected from the global address list. I had already tried creating test users and using the GAL but to no avail, however I tried again this morning and oddly Julie could be emailed from both external addresses and bgy being selected in the global address list. The autocomplete was still displaying her old name so I have told users to delete this from their autocomplet list and now everything appears to be ok. Not sure what has happened in the last 24 hours but its now working fine. Thanks for the input guys, it is extremely appreciated. Cheers Jim
