Exchange display name Vs Mailbox name
Hi guys, I am running Exchange Server 2007, Version: 08.01.0240.006 on a Server 2003 64bit machine with SP2. I am trying to do something which may not be possible, but I thoguht I'd ask and see anyway. I have a user who has access to a number of Mailboxes. The mailboxes are all for the same company and therefore should display the same name when they send email. Each mailbox has an Inbox named 'Info' and another named ' members'. Needless to say if he display name are all to be the same then I will find it hard to distinguish between the dirreent Inboxes within Outlook . So, is there a way of setting the mailboxes to display a different name to the display name seen when someone receives my email. Your help would be very much appreciated, thanks, as this is driving me mad.

The mailboxes are all for the same company and therefore should display the same name when they send email. um, no. if that were the case, why would you need more than a single mailbox for your entire organization....

Hi, As MissyKos was mentioned, the Display name for each mailbox on Exchange Server is unique. If you would like to send the email as Company side, you can create a special email address on Exchange Server and grant permissions to the user who would like to send email as the Company. When trying to compose the email via Office Outlook, you can click “From” field and select the special email address as the sender. For more information to grant mailbox permission, please refer to the following article: Manage Send As Permissions for a Mailbox Thanks, NovakPlease remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question. This can be beneficial to other community members reading the thread.
