Exchange and free Email Server
HI,I want to know ..If you have free email server having 0$ hardware and maintenance cost, and low spam then why should a company have their own Email server?SOHO and small enterprises are investing on Email server and investing a lot of cost for backup, Administration, Down time. Google is providing email hosting having 6 GB of each account having 200 mailboxes having 0$ cost, without tension of downtime, spam, administration.1. why we have our own email server?2. Why Companies are reinventing the wheel (Exchange, exim, mailenable, .......... )You can log on using your email with your company account .abc@example.com and you are able to share Calender, and Voice , ...if you pay you can get more than 200 mailbox....All this to convene my BOSS, i want to deploy exchange 2007.thanks

Control over own resources is the biggest argument against outsourcing whether to a paid mail hosting provider or someone like Google. Do you really want your business critical resources in the hands of someone else? Do you wantyour data stored elsewhere? Some organizations don't care. Mine does and would never allow our e-mail data to be hosted anywhere else. That is my opinion, of course.
