Exchange and XenServer.
Helllo I am building a new Exchange 2007 server to replace our old one. I have decided to make the new exchange server a VM using XenServer. I have total of 30 users and would like to know what type of specs should I give this server? Do you think that 3 gigs of ram would be enough? I also gave it 1 processor 2.27ghz. I gave the server 60 gigs for the OS, 10 gigs for logs, and 100 gigs for the DB. Our current databases are totaling 60 gigs as of now. Any suggestions are appreciated.

I wouldn't use any less than five. And never talk about GB for applications. Talk about IOPS. How many do you need to provide the application? Provide the number of disks to meet that requirement. I wouldn't use less than 6gb, or else it will be d**n slow... You can use Exchange Profile Analyzer, maybe that will help you to collect the information you need. http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=8F575F60-BD80-44AA-858B-A1F721108FAD&displaylang=enJonas Andersson MCTS: Microsoft Exchange Server 2010, Configuration | MCITP: EMA | MCSE/MCSA Blog: http://www.testlabs.se/blog
