Exchange and Win Server 2008 Std/Ent
What advantages would I gain if I installed Exchnage 2010 on a Windows Server 2008 R2 Enterprise Server vs. Standard?

What advantages would I gain if I installed Exchnage 2010 on a Windows Server 2008 R2 Enterprise Server vs. Standard? Are you thinking of deploying a Database Availability Group (DAG)? If so, that requires Windows Server 2008 R2 Enterprise as a DAG requires the Windows Failover Cluster components.Neil Hobson, Exchange MVP
