Exchange and Eudora
We arerunning exchange server,everyone except one personuses outlook andsheuses Eudora and the Eudoradata is backed up with Exchange and not with Eudora.What are theproblems associated with using IMAP and exchange. This person has been using Eudora for years,now contracted computer consultant wantsher to change from Eudora to outlook.

Perhaps she would consider Entourage 2008? its similar and works with Exchange 2007 in a more complete way. Also Mac Mail (version released this week) now supports Exchange via Exchange Web Services (https).There is nothing "wrong" with IMAP, it just means you have to open more holes in your firewall which increases the attack surface / overheadof your Exchange server. Also IMAP only syncs some folders and doesnt support the full collaboration functionality that MAPI (outlook) does.
