Exchange account setup problem

Hello,

I typed the wrong server address while setting up my exchange account.  Now, the setup instructions have me in a loop.  It wants the MS Exchange Server and the Mailbox...the idea being when I get the correct info in there and "check name" both fields will become underlined and I'll be able to proceed.  I am no using the correct info and yet I can't get the underline...nor can I start all over.  I even uninstalled and reinstalled Office 365.

Any chance someone can tell me where to find the file that is storing this erroneous exchange information so I can start again. Two uninstalls and reinstalls and the wrong info that I originally put in the server field keeps automatically popping up.

Thanks!

What do you mean you uninstalled and reinstalled Office 365?  Office 365 is a service.  Do you mean you uninstalled and reinstalled Office 2013?

Open Control Panel > Mail, remove the profile.  Then start Outlook and it'll ask you for your e-mail address and password again.

Yes, Ed, you are correct and I thought it was kind of strange.  13 was preinstalled but not activated with my new machine.  When I installed 365, as on other machines, it must have unlocked the 13 version.  I can't find any reference to 365 on the machine.  I'll look deeper now.

Thanks!

You mean the Office 365 apps.  It's just the same as Microsoft Office except that it's the "click to run" version, i.e., it checks your Office 365 account to verify you have a license.
