Exchange Web Services and Outlook for Mac question
Hi there, I have some few questions regarding Exchange Web Services and Outlook for Mac: Why is Outlook for Mac restricted to EWS (Exchange Web Services) when Outlook for Windows connects directly to exchange servers? Why is that a) Outlook for Mac is SO slow to sync with EWS, and b) the Send/Receive & associated buttons do not do anything? Why do versions of the same product (Office) access a sister/mother product (Exchange) with different APIs? I appreciate all the answers given. Thank you.

I expect it has more to do with the services available on the plaform, though. >2. The reasons behind the design are something only the design team can answer. You may get better answers in the Outlook for MAC forums or web sites. --- Rich Matheisen MCSE+I, Exchange MVP --- Rich Matheisen MCSE+I, Exchange MVP
