Exchange Transport Rules Loop
Hello! The Exchange transport server rejected inter-organization email with error "550 5.7.1 Transport rules loop count exceeded". Those message were routed through anti-virus and anti-spam gateway. How can I increase value of x-ms-exchange-transport-rules-loop? Or disable it? Thank you!

Hi, I'm not sure how to change that limit (and if you can) but, when a message takes to many hops to reach the destination, and actually it doesn't, it is marked as loop so I would enable the pipeline tracing and check how that message is being routed. Perhaps you have a routing issuesVincenzo MCTS, MCTIP Server 2008 | MCTS Exchange 2010 | WatchGuard Firewall Security Professional

How’s the issue currently? Whether the exchange version is 2007 or 2010? Does the issue happen to all the incoming messages? Please check if there’s any related event in the application log on the Internet-facing transport server Please increase the protocol logging level on the receive connector, reproduce the issue, and then check the issue again How to Configure Protocol Logging Please use Mail Flow Troubleshooter to check the mail flow on the exchange 2007 server Please run ExBPA against the exchange servers for health, and permission checkPlease remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question. This can be beneficial to other community members reading the thread.
