Exchange Systems Attendant dont Start Exchange 2007 SP1
Hi all. I´m having the following issue with my Exchange 2007 SCC CLuster: Event Type: Error Event Source: MSExchangeSA Event Category: General Event ID: 1005 Date: 7/25/2010 Time: 1:56:19 PM User: N/A Computer: Server Description: Unexpected error The specified user does not exist. Facility: Win32 ID no: c0070525 Microsoft Exchange System Attendant occurred. For more information, see Help and Support Center at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp. I start to having this issue after a FailOver Cluster in order to install some Security Updates. Before the FailOver everything was working OK. So I update one node, make the resources failover to this node, and the System Attendant dont start anymore. I reviewd several forums in order to find how to fix and I found that could be an AD Permission Problem related with the Exchange Enterprise Group and the "allow create account" on the Computer Contanier. My AD Administrator make several changes related with security pourpouses on the AD, and that is why I think that this could be the problem. My Exchange Cluster Account NODEA, NODEB and the EXVIRTUALACCOUNT were moved to another OU in order to accomodate on a better way several objects inside the AD. The only error that I was able to found on the Exchange is the stated above, so If you have some recomendations in order to check or recreate the correct Exchange permissions related with Cluster virtual account or maybe with the Nodes, please I appreciate your help. Regards.

I would start by either deploying Exchange 2007 SP2 or SP3 on both nodes, starting with the passive. If you deploy SP2, then deploy the latest rollup for it immediately afterwards. Once you have done that, run the Best Practises tool from the Toolbox. Simon.Simon Butler, Exchange MVP. http://blog.sembee.co.uk , http://exbpa.com/
