Exchange Spam
Hello,
Exchange on its own does have a spam filter or it relies on other software that is installed on the same server to scan all e-mails and forward to SPAM folder
Thanks

Hi,
Exchange 2003 has some intelligent filtering. Exchange 2007 and 2010 has some more advanced options of spam filtering and scoring.
I still use thirdparty software to filter spam, but Exchange do have some functionality itself.

OUtlook has a built-in- basic- junk mail filter and safe sender/blocking capabilities. Exchange has some add-ins that you can deploy as well ( You didnt say what version you are using)
Not sure what you are asking however or if that answers your question.

Sorry I am running Exchange 2010
So OUtlook has a built-in- basic- junk mail filter and safe sender/blocking capabilities. This means that Outlook does spam check every e-mail on its own ?
Are there any options I can set as regards to spam both at the client and the Exchange side to enable/enhance it ?
Thanks
