Hi folk, I am going to install Exch. 2007 SP2 on Windows 2003 R2 + SP2. When I go to deply the Exch. the bellow error occurred. \Exch2007>setup.com /prepareschema Welcome to Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 Unattended Setup Preparing Exchange Setup Copying Setup Files ......................... COMPLETED Exchange Server setup encountered an error. I've installed .Net 2 + SP2 and Microsoft Power Shell. There are not any logs. Any one can help me? Regars, Mohammad

There is no special topology. I'm going to have a test environment. I've just installed my DC and I want to deploy the Exchange 2007 on it. There is no log in event viewer and any other place. I found that in the duration of "Copying Setup Files ............." the setup.com extracts many files in to c:\windows\temp and after that they will be deleted. Regards, Mohammad

Yes. I've copied all of the source files in to local hard drive. The problem started from this point that when I want to extend my schema (setup /prepareschema) it told me : Exchange Server 2007 requires Microsoft Command Shell. Please visit "http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=64456&clcid=0x409" to download and install it. While I installed Windows Power shell (WindowsServer2003-KB926139-v2-x86-ENU.exe) . I decided to download and install :Microsoft Command Shell" as the setup recommendation. After the installation I ran setup /prepareschema and after copying file "Exchange Server setup encountered an error" appeared.

Hello This Problem is still existing under EX2010 SP1 from DVD. Copying the Data grom DVD to HDD resolved the Problem for me :-)
