Exchange Server Unresponsive Every Friday at Certian time
I have a strange problem happening with an Exchang 2003 server that for about a month now becomes unresponsive to end users Outlook at 8:30AM every Friday. I have to reboot the entire server to make it available to users again. I have looked of corse scheduled tasks and things like that but have had no luck. Does anyone have any suggesgestions that might point me in the right direction? I am totally confused!!Thanks in advance.Chad

Hi,That seems to be strange. Please disable your anti-virus application and then check the issue again. Please check the event log at that unresponsive time and then post the log here. Please verify if all the exchange related services are runing when outlook cannot connect exchange server. Also you can try to access mailbox via OWA to check the issue.Besides, I'd like to clarify some informaiton with you:1. Does the issue occur to all the outlook users?2. Is there any other applications running on the Exchange Server?3. Is there any error information popup when outlook hangs?Regards,Xiu

Thanks for the response Xiu, This does affect all Outlook users. There are other apps running on the Exchange server like AV. I dont see anything in the event log that leads to anything related to the hanging. I will try to access via OWA and see waht happens. There are no pop up messages that I know of when this happens. I will be going onsite tomorrow to troubleshoot the issue. I will keep you posted. If you have any other suggestions for me before then let me know. Thanks
