These tools look like they are used on client pc. I need something that will work directly on the exchange server. Doesnt have to be an OST to PST export if there is another way. thanks,

if that server cannot be bring online in that case you either need to build a recovery server and restore the backup out there and run exmerge to extract the folders from the mailboxes. How to build recovery server see below Read method 3:- Method 3: Restore a Mailbox from Backup to a Recovery Server http://support.microsoft.com/kb/823176 There are also some Third Party tools which you can lookout You can also try posting this query in SBS 2003 Forum http://www.microsoft.com/communities/newsgroups/list/en-us/default.aspx?dg=microsoft.public.windows.server.sbs&cat=en_us_25c94334-6e44-45f5-8952-88f3cf9b5d24&lang=en&cr=us Vinod |CCNA|MCSE 2003 +Messaging|MCTS|ITIL V3|

Hi, You mean you would like to export individual mailbox from your Exchange database, right? The mailbox data are saved as database file in Exchange server, but not OST files. You could use ExMerge in Exchange 2003 [Instructions] to achieve your goal. After downloading and running ExMerge multiple times, I keep getting this error: [11:18:33] Error opening message store (MSEMS). Verify that the Microsoft Exchange Information Store service is running and that you have the correct permissions to log on. (0x8004011d) I followed the routine described here (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/292509), and still receive the same error. Any suggestions? thanks,
