Exchange Server Errors
Hi everyone, My exchange server (Installed on Windows Server 2003 Small Business Server) has become extremely clogged up due to a continually occurring error: Event Type: Warning Event Source: MSExchangeTransport Event Category: SMTP Protocol Event ID: 7002 Date: 4/22/2010 Time: 9:19:07 AM User: N/A Computer: ARTEMIS Description: This is an SMTP protocol warning log for virtual server ID 1, connection #4503. The remote host "74.125.67.27", responded to the SMTP command "rcpt" with "451 Requested action aborted: local error in processing ". The full command sent was "RCPT TO:<pbcconstruction2@gmail.com> ". This may cause the connection to fail. For more information, click http://www.microsoft.com/contentredirect.asp. This error occurs at least 3 times per minute. I've tried changing the network card, resetting DNS, Exchange, SMTP, POP3, Active Directory, the server itself and the stores. I'm able to telnet to the server, perform an NSlookup and do all of the basic Network trouble shooting stuff (Ping, TelnNEt, NSLookup, TraceRt, ect). This issue has been plaguing it for some time now, and we need a solution. Any help or suggestions anyone can provide would be helpful. Thanks, cbanas89

According to my NSLOOKUP the host corresponding to that IP address is gw-in-f27.1e100.net. Does that host ring a bell to you? Perhaps might that be your ISP's SMTP server or something? Gmail's MX record doesn't point to that server, so for some reason your Exchange server is talking to it. -- Ed Crowley MVP "There are seldom good technological solutions to behavioral problems." . Turns out the e-mail addresses were spelled different than the Active directory accounts so PGMacros couldn't verify them. Kinda strange issue, thanks for all your help guys!
