Exchange Server 2010 Outlook (clients 2010, 2013) Calendar Connection issues

We migrated from Exchange 2007 to 2010 18 months ago. We have noticed a number of users complaining about being unable to add / edit entries made to Room Resource Shared calendars. They are advised they do not have permission to perform this task. A few hours/days later this issue seems to self correct and they are again able to add / edit delete their entries as required. these are Resources that have existed for some time and all users in our company have read and author own permissions.

Outlook Clients are mainly on Office 2010 (x86) we do have a few running 2013 (x86)

Hi RazorJDT,

Thank you for your question.

Did the issue persist?

Did the issue persist when outlook in cache mode? Or online mode?

Did OWA have same issue when the user didnt perform this task in outlook?

When we move room mailbox to Exchange 2010, we could delete the original room mailbox on Exchange 2007. We could check if permission go missing when we move it. We could use the following command to check:

Get-MailboxPermission Identity RoomName

We could send those information to ibsexc@microsoft.com for our troubleshooting.

If there are any questions regarding this issue, please be free to let me know.

Best Regard,

Jim
