Exchange Server 2007 perfromance issue after iphone was configured.
RPC Average latency has been increased >600 (very very high) after I configured the iphone for one user. I identified it by using the User Mon tool. if I disable the activesync to access the mails via iphone then the RPC average latency would be fine. If I enable it, s RPC average latency goes very high. Please let me know your suggestions.ThanksFunnyghost

If I enable it, s RPC average latency goes very high. MSExchangeIS\RPC Averaged Latency should indeed be lower, on average for the past 1024 packets below 50ms at all times. Below is a link which might refer to a similar case. And I've seen posts in other forums talking about related issues. An iPhone per se does not necessarily present problems for Exchange 2007. In our environment we have about 50 iPhones without any of these issues, and it appears we're about to get more with our next migration. To narrow the issues down, first I would make sure the latest program versions and patches are in place: For Exchange 2007 currently it is SP2 with Rollup 2, for the iPhone the current OS is 3.1.2 (perhaps 4.0 this week). Next, the iPhone syncs e-mails, contacts and calendars. Eliminate calendars. Does this solve the issue? If so, why? Corrupt entry? Is Entourage involved, if so, WebDAV client or Web Services Edition (WSE?). iPhone 2.0 and high Store CPU usage on Exchange Servershttp://blogs.technet.com/mikelag/archive/2008/07/15/iphone-2-0-and-high-cpu-usage-on-exchange-servers.aspxA very quick guide to Monitoring the Performance of your Exchange Serverhttp://blogs.msdn.com/douggowans/archive/2007/01/02/a-very-quick-guide-to-monitoring-the-performance-of-your-exchange-server.aspxMCTS: Messaging | MCSE: S+M | Small Business Specialist

I found answer by own research. When iphone is sync with server, corrupt entries in the calendar were caused the issue. I deleted the corrupt item and sync the iphone.Issue fixed.Thank you all for your suggestions.Funnyghost

Hi there,I was wondering how did you find and delete the corrupted calendar items... We have around 20 iphones and found this started to ocurring when we bought the iphones... does this mean i have to grab everyone iphone and check to see if they are the one and then check there calendars, contacts etc?? our latency around 300-600mark :(

No need to grab everyone iPhone.Use the UserMon tool to identify, which iPhone users are causing the issue. This tool wil narrow-down the issue to few users accounts (problem causing user accounts). Once you identify the same then go for calendar corrupt findings.....:)ThanksFunnyghost
