Exchange Server 2007 Search feature doesn't work ?
Hi All, I'm having problem with the Exchange 2007 Search, Every Mailbox has set indexenabled=true. Exchange Indexer is running and it has created index catalogs, but catalogs is quite big (4.19 GB) and searching doesn't return result. I also did Test-ExchangeSearch for each mailbox returns -1. and also I've found this website:http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa995966.aspx which one should I use better in production during business hours ? To Rebuild the Full-Text Index Catalog Using the ResetSearchIndex.ps1 Script or To Manually Rebuild the Full-Text Index Catalog without causing downtime ?/* Windows Infrastructure Support Engineer */

Per my knowledge, the difference between two methods is just if you want to do it manually or automatically. For troubleshooting, I would prefer to do it manually, which can confirm the result of each action The catalog usually costs about 5% of the total database size, whats the size of the database currently? I assume that you must have seen KB 945077, right? Since it show the same symptom as yours and you are trying to rebuild the Full-Text Index Catalog However, if the KB above still not fixes the issue, in order to troubleshoot the Exchange Search Issues, please use this article Exchange Search FAQ
