Exchange Server 2007 SP3 clean installation on Windows Server 2008 R2
Hello there, I am managing to perform a new Exchange Server 2007 installation on a Windows Server 2008 R2 SP2 box. I have just finished downloading Exchange Server 2007 SP1 full ISO image from Microsoft Volume Licensing Service Center and SP3 for Exchange Server 2007 standalone installer from Microsoft Download Center. How can I then manage to install Exchange Server 2007 SP3 on Windows Server 2008 R2 SP2 ? Should I "embed" the SP3 updated files in the full SP1 ISO image ? Any help will be kindly appreciated. Thank you experts for your support. Max

The SP3 download is capable of the full install. Just use that, do not install Exch 2007 Sp1 first on R2 since it is not supported. http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=1687160b-634a-43cb-a65a-f355cff0afa6&displaylang=en "Clean installations of Exchange 2007 SP3 on a new server are possible by using this download in the same manner as you would install Exchange 2007 RTM, Exchange 2007 SP1 or Exchange 2007 SP2. Yes, the Exchange 2007 SP3 is a full installation package, you could install it in your Windows Server 2008 R2 directly. http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb123694(EXCHG.80).aspx Thanks, Elvis
