Exchange Server 2007 Activesync Prod-DR test scenario ?
Hello Everyone, I'd like to publish my existing Exchange Server 2007 SP1 in the DR site (see the attached diagram), the blue line is the current working Exchange ActiveSync, my goal is to setup the red line, how can I achieve this ? http://i52.tinypic.com/swfxv6.jpg 1. so that the user can the DR site when emergency or failover occurs, do I have to manually map the Exchange Activesync in the mobile device to point into the mailsync-dr site instead of mailsync-prod site ? 2. where to publish the SAN SSL certificate ? is it on the Exchange CAS or in the TMG2010 ? any help would be greatly appreciated. Cheers, AWT/* Server Support Specialist */

1. Think about it. If the primary site is down, how would anything know to go to the DR site? It would have to be because you've changed your DNS records to direct clients to the DR site. 2. If you're using the TMG to publish services, it will have to have your public certificate. You'll still need a certificate on the CAS, and you can use a public certificate for that, or one from your own internal CA. Which way you go depends on details specific to your organization.Ed Crowley MVP "There are seldom good technological solutions to behavioral problems."

thanks for your reply Ed, yes, for the number 1, I must manually add second profile in my iPhone / mobile phone to access email --> cmiiw ? as for number 2, does that means I must install it both in my CAS and then in the TMG 2010 (with KCD) ?/* Server Support Specialist */

1. It depends on your mobile device. They all behave differently. 2. Please reread my answer.Ed Crowley MVP "There are seldom good technological solutions to behavioral problems."
