Exchange Server 2007 32 bit
Why the ____ in this world Microsoft says no Support to Exchange 2007 32 bit in production environment?

The world is moving on. 32 bit simply wouldn't cut it for everything that Exchange needs to run effectively. 32 bit limits on the RAM, and almost every server bought in the last 5 years will be 64 bit compatible. This shouldn't be news to you. http://www.builderau.com.au/program/windows/soa/Exchange-2007-32-bit-vs-64-bit/0,339024644,339282167,00.htm Simon.Simon Butler, Exchange MVP. http://blog.sembee.co.uk , http://exbpa.com/

Ex2007 32-bit was made for testing only, probably because at the time not every server had 64-bit CPUs, so admins needed to be able to test Ex2007 without having to upgrade hardware. I don't think there's any third-party software for it either, so don't even bother.

I believe the biggest reason the 32-bit test and evaluation version is available for Exchange 2007 is that at the time Microsoft had no virtualization platform that supported 64-bit guests. -- Ed Crowley MVP "There are seldom good technological solutions to behavioral problems." .
