Exchange Server 2003 acidently deleted from Exchnage System Manager
Hi I have a problem, an administrator deleted the main exchange server from ESM by mistake and i have tried to do an install with /disasterrecovery switch but i cant as i have checked ADSIedit and the deleted server has disappeared from AD, what options do i have now, do i have to go to the pain of an authoritative restore to restore than one server object so i can do a /disasterrecovery reinstall or is there a quicker way to get exchange back online its a 200 user site CheersSpudney

Hello You needs to do Exchange Disaster recovery, In order to restore a failed Exchange 2003 Server, you can install a “new” one using the /DisasterRecovery switch, but there are several steps to it, and they need to be performed in the correct order. Most important thing is when you have received a replacement server or replacements for the failed hardware components, it’s important you configure and partition the disks in the new server, so they are identical to the way they were configured in the old one. You have Raw EDB files you can use 3rd party softwares to recover it like http://www.stellarinfo.com/edb-exchange-server-recovery.htm http://www.msexchange.org/tutorials/Recovering-Failed-Exchange-2003-Member-Server-Using-Disaster-Recovery-Switch.html Thanks Mhussain
