A mailbox doesn't have a default size. The store has a set of tickboxes and in the later two versions 2GB has been set. You can set it to as low as you want but remain sensible. What are your business requirements in this question? What is it you want to achieve? In theory you could set the mailbox size to 1KB but that would be, err, underkill. I agree, it is more around business requirements, how much storage do you have by how many users per message store. Are some VPs that should have a larger quota than others? Are you doing any mailbox maintenance?
