hello we are using exchange server 2003 enterprise edition with windows server 2000 and we are facing abig problem in the size of the .EDBand .STM files as their sizes are growing rapidly reachinig a very large size that it totally different from the original size of the mailbixes computed upon exporting them any suggestions please Regards Mahmoud

Check your event ID 1221's for whitespace. Also, if you did some import/export you probably lost single instance storage.

thanks Knightly am checking this event continously but this will not give me a clear explanation of the reason since we have sufficient space and the space after online maintenance is ok can you give me a brief explanation about the effect
